For all-purpose cleaning, mix 2 teaspoons of borax with 2 cups of hot water to create a natural cleaning solution for surfaces. To clean toilets, sprinkle 1 cup of borax into the bowl overnight to loosen grime. Tough stains in bathtubs and sinks can be removed using a paste made of 1 cup borax and ¼ cup lemon juice. Borax also works as a natural insecticide—sprinkling it around dog beds, carpets, or infested areas repels fleas, cockroaches, and ants. For mould, apply a thick paste of borax and water, allowing it to dry before sweeping it away. To unclog drains, pour ½ cup of borax followed by boiling water, letting it sit for 15 minutes. Additionally, borax can be added to baths for a relaxing soak, using 50-300 grams, or as a foot soak with 1 tablespoon per soak.
